MessageGears Releases 2024 State of Enterprise Marketing Report

ATLANTA (June 13, 2024)MessageGears, the leading cross-channel engagement platform for large consumer brands, today announced the release of its 2024 State of Enterprise Marketing Report. The report provides insights into the number of customer engagement platforms used by enterprises, preferred capabilities in a customer engagement platform, weaknesses identified in customer engagement platforms, propensity of enterprises to switch customer engagement platforms and key decision makers.

Key findings include: 

  • Enterprise organizations, by and large, use one customer engagement platform (64%). 
  • Real-time data access and return on investment (ROI) are the two most important capabilities of any customer engagement platform at 91%. 
  • Inability for marketers to identify audiences without a technical resource is a weakness of some platforms (44%).
  • Some enterprise organizations will likely look to switch customer engagement platforms in the next 5 years (21%), but most will likely stay with their current platform (76%).
  • C-Level Technology personnel are key decision makers for technology (27%) and Marketing (43%) departments when it comes to choosing a CEP.

The data set for the 2024 State of Enterprise Marketing Report is based on survey responses from 291 marketing professionals from enterprise organizations across the United States. The survey instrument was in the field from February-March 2024.
