MessageGears Makes Atlanta Business Chronicle’s “Best Places to Work” List for Second Straight Year

Local cross-channel marketing innovator MessageGears was named to the Atlanta Business Chronicle’s 2019 “Best Places to Work” list, along with 100 other small, medium and large companies across the metro area that know how to create environments that attract and retain top talent.

MessageGears has experienced tremendous growth in the past few years, sending billions of emails each month for companies like Expedia, Chick-fil-A, Ebates, Orbitz, and ShopStyle, and significantly growing its workforce. MessageGears leadership and CEO Roger Barnette make team management and work/life balance a high priority. That’s enabled the company to keep their employee turnover rate low and earn a 5.0 rating on Glassdoor.

Barnette was excited to hear about the second consecutive “Best Places to Work” honor, and said it’s particularly meaningful because it demonstrates the culture the entire team has worked so hard to establish.

“We do everything we can to be a great place to work for the team we’ve brought together, because we know how important that is for our customers and our business,” Barnette said. “We’ve been very purposeful about establishing what the day-to-day life at MessageGears was going to look like, and it’s really gratifying to see that’s resulting in a team that cares about the job they’re doing, and enjoys being a part of what we’re building.”

MessageGears’ great culture has also been noticed by industry experts and clients, most notably in The Relevancy Group’s 2019 ESP Buyer’s Guide, Enterprise edition, where one current client said “The company ethos is spectacular.”

The Business Chronicle compiles the Best Places to Work list with the help of Quantum Workplace, an employee engagement software company. Employees from nominated businesses had to participate in a scientifically valid survey about their employer. Also, a set percentage of employees (based on company size) who were polled had to complete the survey for the company to be considered.

The Business Chronicle will honor the winners and reveal rankings at a reception Sept. 5 at the Intercontinental hotel in the Buckhead district of Atlanta.
